Mark and Laurie Tallio just got back from their FREE trip from LIFE Leadership.  The travel agents were very helpful and let them do a customized trip to Arizona because they have family there.  Mark and Laurie are a great couple and we are glad they were able to earn this trip through the LIFE Leadership company.  Laurie has been a dominate force in building these communities.  She has been strong on this journey when we were going through a bunch of changes.  I really appreciate her determination and professionalism,  she is a real blessing to a lot of people.  jeep tour

Laurie sent me this as a recap of their trip:

We were able to take our six for six trip through LIFE Leadership in January.  Getting notification from the Office and then receiving a call from the travel agent is pretty exciting!  Elisabeth, our travel agent, was wonderful.  Costa Rica was my dream location, but time with my grandson that I hadn’t seen in 14 months was way more important and my real dream.  Elisabeth was so patient as we talked through the possibilities, but ultimately, she said this is your trip and if you want to go someplace that travel agents deal with frequently, we can do that. So …. off to Arizona, temps in the low 70’s, a poolside room with a sliding glass door to the outdoor patio area with heated pool and hot tub …. a blast for my grandson.  Four wheel jeep riding over the red rock country in Sedona (we brought his little buddy and they were wide eyed the whole time), a trip to a wild west town where Trevin could ride a burro and pan for gold, days of bike riding in state parks and on the irrigation canal trail system, mini golf (using the rules of a four and a half year old), all culminating in a trip to Sky Dive America (no, we did not take a four and a half year old sky diving!).  Here they have a tunnel with 160 mile hour winds, allowing you to experience weightlessness and free falling – what an amazing experience!  As his parents and my husband had all gone sky diving in the past, this one was for Trevin and I. Trevin was nervous, but so proud afterwards, and I couldn’t wipe the smile off my face (but sky diving is still not on my bucket list)!  My favorite memory ….. “Grandma, you can live here all the time if you want”.  THANK YOU LIFE Leadership for awarding us with a trip early in our LIFE journey, and thank you to Elisabeth for hearing my heart!

I hope as a reader, you realize that a FREE Trip like this could be earned by you also.

Beth and I are so proud of this couple and what they have achieved.  They are doing a great job of developing others and building a community.  They sent me a write up about their trip and I thought I would put it on here to share with the rest of you.  This couple is a great example of what people should be like.  They are great servants and love helping people.210115383

Teresa and I choose the Sandals Grande Riviera resort in Jamaica for our vacation earned through the Life Leadership co.  With four vacation destinations to choose from, we had a hard time deciding which one to take. Elisabeth, the travel agent, was great about asking questions to help us discern which vacation was right for us.

We have never had an opportunity like this before.  There is something about “FREE” that makes it very unique and special. When all the arrangements are made and everything is paid for, it created the freedom to just sit back, relax, focus on one another and marvel at all of God’s beauty that surrounded the resort.

Sailing on the small sail boats was one of our favorite things to do each day. I joked that we should sail all the way to Cuba and back. However, after going out a few miles and starting to lose sight of land, Teresa said it was an idea just not a good one.  We had a great laugh!

I would say eating must have rated right up there with sailing because we ate five times a day.  It’s amazing how much of an appetite you can work up with a rigorous daily regiment of walks on the beach, dips in the ocean and reading A Month of  Italy by Chris Brady and The Magic of Thinking Big by David Schwartz in a hammock under a palm tree. Actually to be more truthful the portions were just the right size to pull this off without feeling “stuffed” all day.  The food was absolutely wonderful!

The thing I have missed the most after coming home was the housekeeper who would tidy up our little cottage every time we would leave. We sure wish we had one of those at home! (Dream solidified!) The care and friendliness of the entire staff at Sandals was great. They made you feel like royalty, as if we were the only ones there that mattered to them.

In closing, we would like to thank Steve and Beth Morgan and all our Band of Brothers family who have always lead the way and never stopped believing in us. We also want to thank the Life Leadership Co. and its founders for creating an opportunity for anyone who just wants a shot at life like Teresa and I. Like Orrin Woodward says: It’s not easy but it is worth it and this vacation was a much needed rest stop on the road to achieving more of our dreams. God Bless!
