Another couple that went on a FREE trip through the LIFE Leadership company was Jon and Heather Groves.  They are awesome friends, family and leaders to many.  We were so excited when they told us about earning this vacation and getting the call from the travel agent.  I asked them to send us a little recap of how this trip was and what others can expect to get when they go.

Here is what they had to say:Groves Family Disney Trip

It’s the trip you’ve always wished you could take with your family but couldn’t quite pull off. Instead of eating snack bars and pb&j’s stuffed in a backpack for the day, you actually go to all of those restaurants you told your kids to not even think about the first time around. With a simple signature on the bill you’re off to enjoy more sights and rides. The travel agent is extremely helpful with all of the details and investigating all of the options that you could want. We stayed an extra night at the resort the day/ night before the park tickets so we could take some time to relax after the trip and enjoy the amazing features of the hotel resort itself. A day and evening at one of the many pools does the trick. A bonus of actually staying at
the resort at Disney is that you have Extra Magic Hours available to you and your family at all of the parks. Some are in the morning and some after regular close time hours. These are hours that the park either opens early or stays open late specifically for those staying in a Disney resort hotel. There are significantly less people in the parks at these times and you are able to ride your favorite rides or see your favorite sights without lines or crowds. Two of our favorite dining experiences were the Crystal palace in the Magic Kingdom where the characters come and greet you at your table and pose for pictures. It’s an amazing buffet so you just keep eating until you’re stuffed. The second favorite is the French restaurant in Epcot where our bill totaled over $200 and all we has to do was sign our name and say thanks. Gourmet food for a signature, that’s what I call a dream. The kids loved the “Yeti ride” in Animal Kingdom, Space Mountain in Magic
Kingdom and the Tower of Terror at Hollywood Studios. We all loved Soarin’ at Epcot and where most people are lucky to ride once we were able to ride 4 different times over our stay. We frequented the Haunted Mansion and were even privileged to go in the middle of the night during Extra Magic hours which is an entirely new experience. Talk about creepy. Kiley loved our room at the resort, the food, and the “Yeti” ride was her favorite. I don’t think she actually finished
one meal there was so much food. Shad was most impressed by the food. His favorite restaurant was the buffet in Africa at Animal Kingdom with its assortment of new and unique foods. As a growing teenage boy, the food was key. He says what he loved most was just spending time together as a family. Maddi loved the Crystal palace buffet and the Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor in magic Kingdom. For Jon and I, being able to earn a dream trip like this for our kids was the best part. It’s all about the memories. Jon and Heather Groves

Costa Rica, Oasis of the Seas Cruise, Disney or Jamaica.

Congrats again to Jon and Heather for earning this FREE trip, you deserved it.

I remember meeting Ed for the 1st time when we were buying our house.  He was the inspector that came to check the house out for us.  Today we are great friends with him and Tina.  They are a great couple and very powerful in a leadership role.  They earned this trip by doing the work, Beth and I were so excited for them to go on it.

Here is a Summary of the Trip and what it felt like to take a free 7 day trip:

Our family recently returned from our 6 for 6 trip and our overall feeling was “awesome”! Keep in mind that our family had NEVER taken a weeks vacation. We had always snuck in a couple of fun days with a work trip here or there or taken a long weekend, but never gone 7 days without working. So, to say the least, we were pumped!

We chose to go to Disney World after some debate of the cruise. It ended up being the perfect choice for us. The travel agent that called us was very friendly and helpful and made many helpful suggestions that made it even better. We were able to get a 7 day stay at the Pop Century Resort on the Disney property, with tickets to all the Disney Parks, a bunch of discount coupons, a family meal plan, and air travel for our allowance.

The week was amazing! We had great weather (it was in the 70’s all week), went to every park, including a night at Downtown Disney, and had a day that we stayed at the resort and relaxed by the pool most of the day. Everyone had a favorite ride or park or show but we were all in agreement that the best part of the week was truly spending the whole entire week together. My best memory was that at one point or another, I got to spend quality time and hold hands with both of my kids and my wife and really re-engage with all of them. It truly made us see that being free is achievable for us and that our taste of freedom makes us want to run harder to qualify for the next trip and earn our freedom.

We want to thank Steve & Beth  Morgan for being our  mentors and friends and for introducing us to this fabulous business! We also want to thank all the other Band of Brothers for their support and example.  We are truly blessed to be where we are and would encourage everyone to run faster the chase their dreams and earn this trip. It will be LIFE changing!

Beth and I have so much fun talking to all of the trip qualifiers after they get back, we love to hear about all of the dreams come true.

What trip are you gonna earn?

thanks for reading,

Some of our good friends were able to earn this great FREE trip.  We are really happy for their success and their growth as leaders.  To earn one of these trips, you must be willing to help others.  Nick and Deanna are a great example of people that are willing to serves others.
Congrats to the Nighbor Family on all of your success,
Steve & Beth Morgan
We just got back from our trip and man it was awesome. We were able to bring our two oldest daughters to Walt Disney World in Florida. I didn’t really believe the trip was real until we landed. Everything was taken care of; flights, food, resort stay, passes to the parks, everything. I asked Audrey what was her favorite part; and she said, “the tea-cups and Ariel.”
It is pretty amazing to know that as we help more people with their life, we are rewarded for those efforts. We have to thank Steve and Beth Morgan for all they have to done to help us and the founders of Life Leadership to even make these incentive trips possible.
This was a long awaited vacation and it meant even more because there was true meaning behind it. My favorite part by far was being able to spend time with my wife and look into my kids eyes for 5 days straight and not have to worrry about a thing. I got to be an ever present Dad for 5 days!!
We can’t wait to help more families earn their trip. These trips are for real! It was worth it!!

Hey Readers,

We just got back from our 200 Club for the people who did 200 points in volume thru their LIFE business.  What a fun event.  We decided to do canoeing and tubing,  what a fun day it turned out to be.  It was in the mid to high 70’s and the sun was shining.  We filled that river with a whole bunch of great people that want to make a difference in the world.  These events are gonna become a huge lever, they are so much fun.  We had a great turnout at this event and set a goal to 3x or 4x the attendance at next month.

I know there are many other 200 PV Clubs going on in other locations.  If you haven’t been able to get to one of these yet, do whatever you can to get to the next one.  Just an FYI- remember to bring your sun screen.  I forgot to put mine on my head and I got a little more out of our party than I expected.

If you attended one of the 200 Clubs please leave a comment and let us know how much fun you had.

As you may know, in the LIFE company we don’t have any paid owners.  This gives us the chance to play and PAY at a level other companies can’t compete with. All of us that want to make money have to perform the same way.  Networking has always had a good smell to it but usually the closer you get to it the worse it is.  With LIFE we aimed to create a company that would actually have the money to pay people that we said would be there.  Most companies give world class trips to the elite in the company, but these people can already afford them.  We created incentive trips intended to reward the up and coming leaders and give them a chance to go some place that may be a once in a lifetime trip.

The featured couple today is Pat & Linda Birtles.  I really appreciate the partnership and friendship that we have with this couple.  By working hard and helping others they earned their first free trip.  Pat sent me a review of the trip and I wanted to share it with you.

Pat:

We left for our LIFE “6000 for 6 free trip” in frigid March weather in Michigan. We flew to Liberia, Costa Rica where we were picked up by transport vehicle from the Allegro Papagayo Resort where we would be staying for five relaxing fun filled days and nights. The resort is located on the mountainous coastline of a very large bay off the Pacific Ocean. Our room had a balcony that overlooked a gigantic swimming pool and the bay. The resort was all inclusive with unlimited food and drink from the restaurants that were beside and even in the center of the pool. The temperature was over 100-degrees everyday which made the pool very refreshing in the afternoons before dinner. There was abundance of wildlife, with White Faced Monkeys, Coati and Iguanas everywhere. We also saw Sloth and Howler Monkeys on our side trips. During one of our side trips we zip-lined from tree top to tree top of mature trees with the Howler Monkeys swinging through the trees beside us. On another, we hiked steep mountain trails in the rain forest, crossing several long swinging bridges that spanned large gorges. We met several interesting people from England, New York, Canada, Texas and of course Costa Rica.  We especially enjoyed our time together for wonderful days in this beautiful country. It was an awesome vacation and as Brady would say, “and the best part of the trip was it was FREE!

Thanks Pat for the great recap of your trip.  I cant wait for you to go on the 2nd trip and for people reading this to qualify for their trip.

Here’s to free trips & LIFE,

In todays world of internet traffic and social media profiles, I often wonder if people know that they are leaving finger prints all over.  What I mean by that is, everything online is there forever.  It may seem funny in the moment but in 10 yrs will it still be funny?  Many times today if you want to figure out who someone really is, just visit their personal page online and read what they have been saying.  Even bold comments on media pages can never be taken away.  They will hang there forever.  You can either make a good fingerprint of yourself online or a bad one.  Its your choice.

Sometimes as I look back on my life I think that in the moment when I said something, it was funny, but years later I regret it.  We have never lived in a time where this much info per person is being documented, good and bad.  When I read certain peoples stuff I am reminded of the old song “True Colors.” Im not sure if that is the actual name of the song but it goes,  ” I see your true colors shining through.”  It always makes me laugh when I think of that song.   I hope that we don’t go too far and wish years down the road that we would have kept a little more for the imagination for people.  I also remember the old saying, “Better to be thought a fool than to speak up and prove them right.”

I heard a gentleman talk about a principle he called “memorialize.”  He went on to explain that it meant, anything that could come back and haunt you later on.  For example, an email, text, or photo.  I am careful that when I am speaking to tell people not to video record or voice record.  Technology is so good today that they could put pieces together and make it sound like you said something that you didn’t.

This is a post for a good laugh.  I saw this and laughed so hard.  Every company is trying to get something to go viral.  I am not posting this to promote the product but the laughter that it will generate in next few minutes for you.  Leave some comments and tell us what you think about the video.  Jeff Gordon Video.

I think many people are alike, they have limiting beliefs.  I know that growing up I developed limited thinking.  The way that I overcame this personally was through the information in the LIFE business.  We have worked with Best selling authors Orrin Woodward and Chris Brady for a decade of our lives now.  It made all the difference.  They say that over the next 5 years you will be the same person except for the books you read and the people you meet.  I have asked people for years, “if we recorded you talking to yourself would you be embarrassed if we played it for others to hear?” They always say yes.  I can’t believe that we talk so negative to ourselves, but we do.  What I have found by reading the right books, is that you can do anything you put your mind to.

photoI put this picture of this horse on here to show a visual example of what most peoples obstacles look like.  Most of the time they have just learned to submit to them.  I say we break our limitations and run for the things we really want to accomplish.  Henry Ford said ” either you think you can or you think you can’t, but either way your right.”

One of the best books that I have ever read to help with this kind of thinking was The Magic of Thinking Big.  If you have never read this book I highly recommend it.

If you are tired of the same old results you should get involved in an audio education, listening to people that have had success in areas you want to win.  What you find is that you spent a lot of time comparing your weaknesses to their strengths and you hurt the way you see yourself.

My mentor Bill Lewis has one of the best stories that I have ever heard.  He grew up in a rough area in Saginaw Michigan and through getting different information and plugging into new association, is now hugely successful.  Not only is he successful in business but also in his personal life.  Thanks Bill for showing us all whats possible.  Another American success story. You could be the next.

I was reading a write up on Facebook back in December and was blown away by what I was reading.  It was a story about a young lady that was deaf and mute.  She was riding a horse in a competition without a saddle or bridle.  The story said that she had a special connection with horses because of her disabilities.  I went on to read that she was training this particular horse for only 21 days before this competition and that made the story even more amazing.  I watched the attached video and was blown away.  The next morning I got my kids up and had them gather around my computer and watch this amazing overcomer.

I later got on youtube and wanted to see if there were anymore videos about this lady.  To my surprise there was a video of this lady on a TV talk show and she was not deaf or mute.  She said in the interview that she had at least 800+ hrs on that horse training it to ride like that without a bridle.  I was blown away.  Everything that I thought was true just got spun on me.

I wonder how many times this happens now166910_335954766449331_1894289406_n days?  I know Facebook is well known for untrue stories to be posted.  It’s almost like people dont have to source their info anymore. Many people will put stuff out online and there is very little to no truth to it at all.  Its very sad because most people will believe it if they read it online wether it is true or not.

Click here to see the video. This link is to her blog and tells her response to the false claims.  Very interesting.  Hope this makes you think about the info you read online next time before you believe it first.

Dont fall into the trap of believing untruth.

My mentor, Bill Lewis, wrote an amazing article recently and I wanted to share it with all of you.  He is a very smart guy that thinks through things at an interesting depth.  I have learned so much from him and the info in the LIFE company.  I hope it help you as much as it did me.

Here is the article. click here for the whole article.

Are You a COI or a COA Person?

I just found some material that ties into a previous post that I did on layers.  Are you a center of influence person, or are you a center of attention person? Don’t answer too quickly; wait until I explain and then think through your answer. In the previous post on layers, I spoke about people’s fears and how they start to build up protective layers because of those fears. Then they build up layers on top of those layers to keep anyone from even getting close to those fears. These layers determine the way people respond and act under different circumstances. This new information provides a great example of how to identify if you have built up layers and maybe don’t know it. It also helps show you how you will think when you minimize the number of fears you have, which in turn, will eliminate layers.

A center of influence person is aware that every thought, emotion, word, and behavior he expresses has an effect. If you are a center of influence person, you understand that you set the tone for your relationships. You take responsibility for how you interact with others and how they treat you. You cannot control what other people think or how they behave,  yet your beliefs and behavior serve to teach others how they should treat you. If you are in a difficult situation with someone, you ask yourself, “What effect did my communication have on that person and that situation?” As a center of influence person, you see others in terms of their needs, not yours. And you acknowledge the way you feel and recognize that you are the cause.

I hope you enjoyed this article. I thought it was very thought provoking.
